Matthew 25's "Bridges" Project - Grant

Professional muralist Eleanor Yates came to Cedar Rapids in August of 2007 to support Matthew 25's work with kids in the Taylor Neighborhood. She ended up painting the Bridges mural to show the importance of kids working to create bridges in the community. The following spring, Ella would return to Cedar Rapids to paint the You Are a Gift mural that covers the wall of the Taylor Elementary gym. The Flood of 2008 destroyed the Bridges mural. Eleanor intends to return Cedar Rapids this fall to repaint the mural, bigger and outdoors, as a sign of hope and rebuilding for the kids of Cedar Rapids. CR netWORK is supporting Eleanor's efforts with a $500 grant towards the Bridges project.
